GFOGland Packing
Gland packing is often found in sump pumps, chlorinators, alkali softeners, slip-type expansion joints, strong acid situations, charcoal mill heat pumps, reciprocating rods, rams and plungers. Chemically resistant to pumps and rotary preshrunk equipment to avoid packaging wear and the soft, flexible but highly nonporous print shaft is an excellent choice for rotary shaft service.

Style 5889 is dimensionally stable yet relatively soft and flexible packaging. Treated with PTFE dispersion and an inert material, it's an excellent choice for high-speed rotary shaft service at sea, sewage/water treatment, and the most volatile applications. Pre-shrunk to avoid packing wear and shaft scoring, the Style 5889 is also highly non-porous.
